Muddy This, Muddy that

When I was a child, I used to play down by the creek. We used to build dams, build little boats, and get muddy. I remember being extremely stoked about the rain. More storm = more mud. I do still like the mud even as an adult, if I have my boots on, I always pick the high risk, efficient route over a wimpy, dry, walkaround.

I like mud but I am starting to get sick of it. I miss the dry, fast paced trails and endless sun. I just want to be outside without feeling like my pinky toe is going to fall off.

This idea will guide my life: Summer is better. All you winter folk need to stop lying to yourself and put your feet in the sand and accept it. Winter sucks, and if humans were meant to be in a cold climate, they would have thicker skin and lack so many nerve endings like a fish and we are not fish.

Google machine:

What is the relationship between cold and pain?

Temperature – lower temperatures cause tissues to contract, putting pressure on nerves. Different tissues contract at different rates, for example scar tissue. This is why the site of a previous injury could experience pain in cold temperatures.

Pressure – air pressure in winter drops. With this drop, the gases and fluids in joints expand, which can put pressure on surrounding nerves and causing pain.

Google machine: Cold is Pain

I don’t mind winter but I am a summer guy. Having the Ikon pass has been cool, but Id take mountain biking all day over skiing.

Steamboat Colorado

I get coldziety just looking at that. I hope the Winter ends sooner than later.

I dont know, some random hike

  1. Is this your writing?  Only wimps hate winter.  Winter is the grandest time of the year.  The snow covers the grim and the world looks clean again.  With the snow we are guaranteed water for summer.  Nothing is better then sitting in front of a fireplace nice and warm and watching the snow come down outside.  Nothing beats being on skis at the top of the mountain.  Please, please reconsider winter it is a great time of the year.
