Housing

I didn’t know where I was going to live until about 5 days prior to leaving Crabapple Street. I was planning on living in my car, until I bought a house. However, someone contacted me a few days before I was going to put everything in storage. They said come check out the place, and I said sure.

I got to the house and the two ladies there were like you are the most normal person that has come to check out the place…. I told them that I had planned to live in my car and they said the place is yours If you want it. A day later, I signed the lease. I only met them once prior to living here. I mean they seemed chill so I went for it. I has been a really good first month so far. No regrats!!!

I am so happy here. I think this place is the one, the one that will be the last. I plan on buying a house this year and I think this will be my last rental. No more throwing money at the hungry hippo.

My original idea was to live in my car for the summer and close on a house by the winter. It would have saved me a lot of money. Plus, I love putting my body through hell and seeing how it will act. I like figuring out how to survive in an environment. I suppose this house is better than living in my Toyota Corolla….

Every rental was like $800 a month plus utilities. By the way, you have 4 roommates. Like what? That is fucked. I cant wait to charge my roommates for rent, and live for free. I think I would be a pretty good roommate too.

Hopefully, I can make ends meet and pull the trigger. The housing market is starting to slow but lets face it, it is Colorado, the housing market will always go up here. It is just hard though. An average cost of a house in Denver is $517,000, and in Colorado Springs, it is $388,000. In Connecticut, it is close to $275,000.

I cant buy a house in CT, it is so cloudy there and I love Colorado. It is in the realm of possibility though. I was thinking about buying a rental out there and have my mother manage it for me. The houses are super cheap there and my mom can manage the shit out of a house. She already has my brother’s house rented and they haven’t even finished fixing it up. Maybe that is a good move. I spoke to her about it and she was interested in doing so. Lol my family will eventually own Connecticut. I think the whole family owns close to 50 houses at this point.

Here is a picture from my hike yesterday:

This is why I need to stay here. I want that. I want that life, on the farm with land for miles and miles. Peace out!
