I woke up at about 7:00, listen to a podcast and eat some oatmeal. After that, I sat at my kitchen table for about 2 hours drinking coffee, writing letters and reading.
I’ve had this old economics book for about 3 months. It talked about Freudian psychology as if it happened yesterday, and talked about Apple computers as if it was a new hot thing.
It was a really hard read. It was about the philosophical influences on economic tendancies…. Yeah I shouldn’t have started it. If I was half asleep, I wouldn’t soak in the content or even understand what is being said. It’s the type of book that required at least two cups of coffee before digging in.
I finished that piece of shit and had an IPA to celebrate. After that I called a buddy that I hadn’t spoken to in a while and then made some lunch. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with a day, so I decided to go for a bicycle ride.
I made it to Route 36 and decided to bike all the way to Denver. It took about 2 hours and like four miles of backtracking to get there. The fucking trail markers are shit. I got there at around 5:00 and roamed around the city until like 6:00 and then watched the sunset.
I tried to conquer a really technical concrete formation and failed, falling on my ass in front of a bunch of people. After that fail, I decided my day was done and went to Union Station to find the bus home. It was a good cheap day all said and done.
