Living verses Traveling

I came to Colorado to hike and my car has been running rough lately. As you know, I have been contiplating a new car. I told him this and how I was feeling like crap because I couldn’t get to the mountains in my car. I was a afraid of a breakdown. He gave me some pretty good financial advice.

He told me: What is two months of saving and not doing anything? You are so worried about not hiking that you fail to realize that you live there. You live in Colorado.

It made sense… I live here and the mountains aren’t going anywhere. So what if I miss a few weeks of hiking. It doesn’t matter. ln life, there are times when you have to grind. I guess this is one of those weeks. Bastard, the more I talked to him, the more I began to realize that he was right… That frugal bastard.

He told me: Buy a car that is dependable, not a new one. Get rid of the Volvo, take a loss on it and get on with your life.

Bryton I hate you. Honestly, I know you are right but I might go against the advice anyway.

When you travel, you are always on a time crunch. Rushing to accomplish the most tasks in the least amount of time. I guess that is my mind set.

I just need to make a decision and get on with my life.
